I am an of P/S Make it Right
Systemic racism began more than 400 years ago. That's four centuries of experiences that contributed to the tinderbox of uprisings seen in May 2020 (and those in years past). But not everyone in America shared these experiences, with some shielded from the unnecessary impacts on their daily lives. Things like the "criminal justice system" and the "educational system" were just part of the fabric of our well-woven nation.

After the death of George Floyd, many have (as my friends say) "woken up White." At the very least, there is a mutual understanding that a marred history has contributed to a distressed American fabric. Not only is racism still alive and kicking, but it is woven into our foundational systems.

With 400 years of light-handed efforts to end American racism, Christina has decided it's time to provide the place to learn about the full depth and breadth of the problem.

P/S stands for "Problem or Solution." We believe our society can either choose to live in the problems created by generations before us, OR we can choose to develop long-lasting solutions for generations to come.

Under the "Problem" arm of P/S, we dissect and digest the problems facing our society. Under the "Solution" arm, we study civic engagement that propels equitable and people-driven communities.

Our first project is “P/S: It's been 400 years,” a systemic racism class that provides a supportive environment for white people to pull away their blinders, comprehend the depths of the black experience, and eradicate preconceived notions related to white privilege.

The pressure is on for you to not only complete specialized training, but to be able to show what you have learned in your everyday interactions. P/S has been set up to help you meet both expectations.

Join us in creating the world some wished we lived in and others THOUGHT we did. It's been 400 years; we don't have any more time to waste.
