In western countries, a person takes on average 1000 pictures every year. That number goes up to 5000 for people with DSLR cameras. In 2015, 1000 billions pictures will be taken, 12 times more than in 2001.

If the pictures are not instantly shared, though, they have little chance of being used some day. Why is that? Many people would like to share or print a selection of pictures corresponding to a given event (birth, wedding, holiday), but they scarcely find the time to sort their pictures themselves. And no software has proved very useful to do that.

Regaind does that sorting job for them, in a reliable and seamless way. It takes 30" to place an order. Regaind does that sorting job for them, in a reliable and seamless way. It takes 30" to place an order. Photos are sorted using a standardized process, based on state-of-the-art algorithms (computer vision, machine learning). To ensure the reliability of our service, professional photographers complete the process and control the results, before they are handed to the clients. Our goal is to learn from our sorted albums and reduce progressively the need for human intervention, until the process is 100% mechanized.

Once an album has been sorted, it takes only one click to summarize the event in any number of pictures (10, 50, 100...), or to find the most beautiful images in the set. The customer can update the selection shown, which helps us improve and personalize our service over time through active learning.

After he has chosen a quantity of pictures that matches his needs, the client can act in one click: post a selection on social networks, share a private (dynamic) slideshow with friends, order prints or photoalbums. All these functions are deeply simplified and enhanced by the sorting that has been done.

Regaind is a service that saves hours of free time, and helps customers realize their desires.

A revolution is happening in the field of image analysis, thanks to deap learning techniques. If a company is able to sort raw pictures and have users react on the results, it will gain highly valuable information on user preferences and automatic aesthetic appreciation. It will also be familiar with the moments that count in every client's life. This privileged position is synonymous with customer retention and can stand as a basis for future services (B2C and B2B).

In the future, Regaind wants to change the way people and companies search for pictures in large media databases.
