resilient.mom is addressing the black maternal health crisis and pioneering a scalable 21st-century approach to public health. According to the CDC, 60% of adverse maternal health outcomes are preventable. The medicine is well understood, but the community and cultural context is highly flawed. We are fixing that.

$50 Billion per year is spent on pregnancies that go wrong in preventable ways. The USA has the worse maternal mortality and morbidity rates in the developed world. Beyond that, women of color are 2 to 3 times more likely to experience adverse outcomes and 8x more likely in New York City!

We give voice to each community where we work. Each community gets their own social media, app, and voice. We focus on outreach and engagement for women still not patients and more likely to slip through the cracks. We marshal social media, app reminders, local influencers, access to social determinant of health support, and messaging from community leaders.

Our highly localized content includes videos, reminders, advice from peer navigators and, most critically, advice from women that look like the community. It is assembled on a white-label enterprise platform optimized to create community and allow full customization and deployment in just a few days.

Our Resilient Mom approach impacts maternal and child health in underserved communities of color by marshaling the local community in partnership with leading hospitals. We have a unique and timely opportunity to both save lives and make money.

We have our first two customers: large prominent hospital systems with a commitment to addressing their awful health outcomes for black women.

We are built around the broad evidence that public health is critically dependent on community buy-in and support from local leaders and peers. We are starting with a narrow focus on maternal health for women of color because it is both an urgent human problem and wastes more than $50 billion dollars in the US Healthcare system. There are also changes to healthcare insurance payment rules in process that will require hospital systems to put in place a solution to their local black maternal health crisis.

Beyond BIPOC maternal health, our approach can easily be focused on other critical public health problems

We have a diverse team with experience in health equity, healthcare service delivery, hospital healthcare marketing, and scalable white label enterprise software.
