Platform overview: Rewind provides an easy and intuitive way for people to re-connect with others that were at an event or location after the fact; connect with them socially and without the stigma of a dating site. While this is, in it’s essence, a new take on the idea of missed connections, we feel that there there is both a very large public desire and need for a platform that makes it easy to find someone after briefly meeting them. The most direct way to find someone is to “Rewind” back to the location and date that you previously were in. In order to post, a user must log in via one of their social media profiles(currently Facebook, Instagram, Twitter & LinkedIn). If you see someone that you recognize or want to befriend, all you have to do is hit the connection icon that's on their picture. There is a connections page which displays ingoing and outgoing connections and the status of them. Once both parties agree to connect, a link is given to the social media profile page that the user used for login. Once you have a link to their social media page, you have a direct means of communication with them, we feel that users are comfortable communicating this way already so let's make things as easy and familiar as possible.

Market: This idea has been pitched to as many people as possible and almost always receives enthusiastic feedback. Our main priority is to be a social regrouping and not a dating site. Currently there are missed connection platforms but they are heavily “looking for love” based and are all limited to searching through a long list of posts with usually creepy messages(Craigslist, missedconnectionsapp.com & joinspotted.com). We don't allow messages at this current time to prevent this, we rely on profile pictures alone. People meet briefly all the time without exchanging contact info and people have glancing moments with the opposite sex and never talk; only left to wonder what if. Rewind provides an intuitive way for them to reconnect. Our target market is concerts, festivals(Think Burning Man), sporting events and cultural events where people briefly meet all of the time and have a genuine want to reconnect.
