RISE Child Development Center, Inc. is an anti-racist organization focused on building diverse-by-design, high quality early childhood education centers. The RISE model rests upon five key building blocks:
1) Exemplary education
2) Economic empowerment for families
3) Staff empowerment and engagement
4) High quality learning environments
5) Scale and impact

Once established, RISE will offer child care and pre-kindergarten for ages 6 weeks to 5 years old in addition to after school care and summer camps. Finally, we will offer programming such as workshops and other resources for parents.

Our financial model is innovative and is designed to increase the salaries of our staff as well as lower tuition rates for our parents. We estimate that each center, serving between 100-200 children, will generate between $2 and $4 million in revenue per year with a net revenue of $150-$250k. Using a profit-share model, we will reinvest the net revenue back into the staff through bonuses and ...

Our financial model is innovative and is designed to increase the salaries of our staff as well as lower tuition rates for our parents. We estimate that each center, serving between 100-200 children, will generate between $2 and $4 million in revenue per year with a net revenue of $150-$250k. Using a profit-share model, we will reinvest the net revenue back into the staff through bonuses and other benefits as well as into families in the form of tuition credits.

Our ultimate goal is to open our first center by May 2021 and scale rapidly in order to transform the early childhood education landscape. By 2025, our goal is to have at least three locations in the Central Texas area and two additional locations in Texas. By 2035, RISE will have accomplished the following goals:

1. There will be a RISE presence in five states across the country.
2. We will have a consortium of partners from multiple industries working through coordinated efforts to support children from low-income families throughout their lifetime from infant to career.
3. We will have completed research studies to measure the impact of the RISE experience including a cohort-study of the children who attended RISE as well as a randomized controlled study.
4. RISE will have a political advocacy arm focused on driving local, state and federal policy changes.
5. We will be an accredited program to offer degrees and certificates in early childhood education.

Finally, RISE is an organization built upon anti-racist principles including but not limited to a commitment to implementing structures, policies and practices with inclusive decision making and other forms of power sharing at all levels of the organization; a commitment to struggling to dismantle racism in our broader communities; and centering the experience of marginalized and racially oppressed people in decision making.
