The Rise of the Rest Bus Tour is coming to five cities this October.

Lincoln / Omaha - Monday, October 3rd
Denver - Tuesday, October 4th
Salt Lake City & Provo - Wednesday, October 5th
Albuquerque - Thursday, October 6th
Phoenix- Friday, October 7th

There will be one winner in each city's pitch competition who will receive a $100,000 investment from Steve Case.

CRITERIA TO APPLY:
Only companies that already have teams, product in market and customers/revenues should apply. Qualifying companies must be headquartered a reasonable driving distance away from the cities we are visiting… no fly in’s please. If you don't qualify to pitch, RSVP to attend the fireside chat, pitch competition and party. We would love to meet you!

Does the team have the skills and leadership to move forward on this idea?

• EXECUTION:
Is there strong customer growth or revenue?

•BUSINESS MODEL:
Has a revenue model been defined and is it realistic and sustainable?

• LOCAL:
Is this idea building on the core strengths (and unique differentiators) of the region - and, if selected, will this startup potentially excite national investors and media to pay more attention to what's happening in the region?

You can apply to pitch at one city only.

In order to qualify to pitch in the contest, you will need to fill out and submit an application.

PITCH APPLICATION DEADLINE:
Wednesday 9/7 at 11.59pm EST. Applications will be reviewed and applicants will be informed within 2 weeks of 9/7.

Revolution’s “Rise of the Rest” initiative is a nationwide effort led by Steve Case to showcase – and invest in – entrepreneurs in emerging startup ecosystems across the U.S. To date, $2M has been invested in startup businesses across 19 cities. During day-long visits to these “rising” startup ecosystems, Steve Case, the Revolution team - with support from partners including Google for Entrepreneurs and Salesforce for Startups - meet with local entrepreneurs, businesses, non–profits, universities, and public officials to discuss the opportunities and challenges of fostering startup growth.
