Roomble is a web application which aids in the creation of structured chatroom style discussions. Users can invite and challenge other users directly to their session and converse on a specific topic. Other users can watch, comment, ask questions, share and vote on these sessions. Using a set of rules (time limits, turns, rounds, etc.) Roomble sessions are structured to increase the lucidity of the discussion.

Other modern discussion platforms (Twitter, Facebook, webpage comment sections) follow a common pattern of "Post and Response". Since Roomble is closer to a chat system it really allows a small group of experts and passionate individuals to dive into issues and spread their discussions.

The idea is that Roomble will primarily have a small percentage of quality users who will create interesting discussions on various topics. These users may include: Bloggers, News media members, political figures, Opposing op-ed writers, AMA users, topic experts, educators, among others. These users will create an assortment of rich discussions, panels and debates that then drive traffic and readership which in turn will spawn more interesting discussions.

Roomble sessions use a robust tagging system to help users find and search for topics that are relevant to their interests. The tags would allow advertisers to target specific debate topics and specific user interests. Additionally, Roomble is a natural fit as an education tool. The structure and the direct back and forth nature allow teachers to follow and read student discussions in real time while encouraging viewpoint and idea exploration.
