RumorAnts is a smartphone application whose users are both Consumers and Advertisers. Advertisers publish their ad campaigns in less than one minute, reaching in real time all interested RumorAnts users.
In fact, every RumorAnts user can express a set of geographically localized interests:
in return the app will create an 'ads feed' containing only ads which are considered interesting and near the user.

The competitive advantage for Advertisers side is that small and medium enterprises can advertise low cost, in one minute, directly on their smartphone, without any intermediary.
The so produced ads will reach instantaneously interested Consumers nearby: so interested that they asked for that kind of ads themselves.
In this way Consumers have full control on received ads: advertising stops to be spam and become a mine gold of information to know the best offers and events nearby.

The long haul goal is to make advertising much easier to produce and consume, the same way we interact with news and socials nowadays.
An example is a pub with no costumers on Saturday night because the competitor across the road has live music for that night. The owner of the first pub could use RumorAnts to make all drinkers nearby know that beers cost the half for the next three hours.

Thus, my goal is advertising to be produced and consumed in real time in the same way people use social networks; moving from current elephantine process which takes days and hundreds of euros for retailers, to a model where ads are produced in real time on retailers’ smartphones, lasting maybe few hours in response to business unforeseen. And I want this advertising to be spread to Consumers in a fair way, respecting their needs and wills, transforming current spam model in a mine of interesting, easily accessible information for Consumers.
