For urbanites with a healthy conscience, Runnity is a community that assembles people who are interested in running and provides its members with the necessary tools to tackle all the issues that could keep them from running by leveraging on the power of human interaction as a motivational tool.
Our community is developed inside and around THE CIRCLE. This structure will be installed on the floor and will be divided in three sections, (adjusted to the physical space granted but never smaller than 6m to allow an appropriate interaction between members), through which our customers will experience the RUNNIFYING PROCESS, (Exhibit 2). The Circle will mainly serve as a meeting point. Depending on the level that our customers consider they have as runners, they can access the Circle into one of three categories.
Heroes, an area designated for those who have little or no experience in running but have taken the determination to face their limits and overcome them. Titans, for those who have already achieved considerable merits in the field such as half marathons or marathons and who run as often as they can. Finally Legends, for those who have achieved great goals such as running a marathon under 3 hours and a half, finishing an ironman or who have accumulated more than 15 half marathons.
For the purpose of further clarifying the process we take the example of a customer who accesses the community as an inexperienced runner. He or she would walk into the Circle as a Hero where they would either meet other people who are also there for the first time or join other customers who were already benefiting from belonging to the community to go out for a training session. If our new customer felt satisfied with the experience and felt that the level of activity suited them well, they could then make the decision of joining the club as a member to start growing as an athlete. If for whatever reason the level was too high or the goals were too ambitious Runnity would group them with people whose objectives align better. The objective of joining a group as a Hero is to be able to achieve a set goal, whether it is to run for 45 mins or to finish a whole marathon. The idea behind this is to make our customers realize that their physical limit is way beyond where they think it actually is. To help them fight against this stigma, we set the objective for them to become a Titan. If after having trained in the Hero area, our customer is able to run a half-marathon and finish it
