The NSA disaster has exposed the huge extent to which the US has gone to spy on all of us, consumers and businesses alike. A clear need for privacy was born and a new system, physically separated from US-controlled networks and companies, has emerged.
The Enterprise Managed Cloud space has huge potential for the right company and ecosystem, and SSC AG has a good chance at owning a large chunk of it.
They have a clear understanding of customers (banks, financial services, larger tech companies etc), have an experienced management team and a good tech stack + team to drive cloud based innovation in security, not just hosting.
Not about building a hosting server farm, it's about enabling an entire stack of developers, tools and APIs built upon a secure, US NSA free foundation. SSC seems to have that in place and should be considered as the leaders in the space.
