Sangha Teahouse and Yoga Lab offers a refuge from the culture of busyness and associated stress-related illnesses by offering an alternative to the frenetic pace of modern life. We will serve fresh, high quality tea and herbal infusions in our tea lounge. Recent studies have shown numerous health benefits of drinking tea, and an analysis of market trends shows that tea is one of the fastest growing markets in the beverage industry. In addition to our beverage selection, we will also offer a selection of nourishing and locally-grown food items that help promote a healthy lifestyle. It is not easy to find food in Durham that is cheap, delicious, and healthy, and we plan to change that fact with out food offerings.

In the yoga and meditation studio, we will offer multiple classes a day, catering to all levels of experience and physical needs. Yoga and meditation have been shown to reduce stress and increase overall levels of wellbeing. Our mission is to be an accessible studio, so that everyone feels comfortable coming to our studio to practice. All communities need access to these things. Among a broad range of offerings, we will provide $5 yoga classes, free and ongoing drop-in led meditation sessions, community tea and food programs, work-trade teahouse and yoga studio initiatives and multi-annual food drives for local communities.
