- Automated billing: Scout’s billing system reduces the amount of time it takes for businesses to bill their clients from hours to zero. Invoices are automatically generated from the transactions logged during a pet's service. Pet parents' credit cards are then automatically billed and receipts are sent with zero intervention from the business owner or pet parent.

- Smart Charges: many companies charge extra for things such as multiple pets, weekend service, cancellations, holidays and more. With Smart Charges, these fees are automatically added to a pet owner’s bill saving time and reducing lost revenue.

- Photo Check-in & GPS Tracking: Scout believes in full transparency and accountability, which is why we’ve equipped the platform with a state-of-the-art photo check-in process and GPS tracking. In a nutshell, when a staff member starts an appointment, they are required to take a photo of the pet. This is stored and immediately sent to the pet parent to indicate they’ve arrived at the appointment. During the appointment, the service is GPS tracked. Upon check-out, the location data is plotted on a map and sent to the pet owner along with a report card of the visit, photos and notes.

- Messages: Scout offers a built-in messaging solution that allows sending email to staff and customers based on criteria such as dates of appointments, services rendered and more.

- Leads: Scout’s Leads functionality allows business owners to embed a form directly into their website to capture information from prospective clients. Leads can then be converted to customers within Scout with a single click.
