ScriptSift is a digital portal that serves the needs of literary agents who face the challenge of sifting through the immense number of manuscripts that budding writers will submit on a weekly basis to identify the “unicorns” that will eventually land a lucrative book deal with publishers. ScriptSift aims to break down the barriers that prevent both literary agents from finding the next New York Times Best Seller and talented authors from finding the right person who can bring their undiscovered talent to the global spotlight. Eventually, we see our technology and product penetrating the film industry where agents representing screenwriters, actors, and directors face analogous pain points as their counterparts in the literary world. ScriptSift offers a platform where literary agents can quickly vet through the multitudes of low-prospect submissions and easily identify only those which have the highest likelihood of financial success.

Many websites and digital publishing tools aimed at helping writers connect with agents or improving their marketability to publishers exist. However ScriptSift adopts a completely different approach in that we target the literary agents as our primary market segment. We understand that the majority of agents in the US are not part of the List of Top 1000 Most Sought-After Agents. These people share the same pain points as do writers struggle to find the right client and manuscript that could land them and their representation a lucrative book deal. However, what we discovered is that helping agents actually enables writers to be more visible in the eyes of publishers as well. In essence, ScriptSift benefits all stakeholders in the publishing value chain including agents, publishers, and writers.

We represent the voices of agents, publishers and writers who wish to provide the world with beautiful works of literature through the discovery of new talent. ScriptSift will enable the proliferation of new and creative literary talent by empowering literary agents to make better-informed choices for representation more quickly and with more assurance through data-backed recommendations.
