We asked millennials what was important to them when they go shopping. They told us they love to shop with their mobiles, and that they often need advice from their friends and family.

They said that when they do involve their friends and family, they are happier with their purchases, and return less. So we designed ShopSee to make it easy for friends to swap store quality photos, alternatives, and advice before they buy.

Mobile texting is fiddly and difficult in a hurry. ShopSee uses smart questions to help shoppers get quick feedback. “Should I get it?”, “Heels too high?”, “Good brand?” are questions tailored by item, and so busy shoppers don’t have to compose texts. And ShopSee lets them see what’s been said by item, as well as in a linear timeline. So everyone’s opinion is grouped together with the item, making it easy to get a summary and make a decision. And ShopSee includes voice calls within a one-to-one or group session. People can swap ideas, and share the same screen, whilst they talk.

ShopSee users communicate from inside the store. They can see items clearly and make suggestions from the store’s entire range. It’s easy to use, so people can make up their minds whilst involving their friends. Without any unwelcome counter promotion.

ShopSee increases footfall by encouraging shoppers to invite their friends into store apps and, using RFID to synchronise to physical items, merging store apps and bricks-and-mortar store shopping into one conversation. Shoppers can also include assistants into their conversations if they need some expert advice.

ShopSee includes analytics to help retailers and brands to understand why individual products do or don’t sell. Quantified sentiment analysis is extracted from conversations, issue by issue, to benchmark an item’s performance against its category average. All analysis is anonymous and aggregated, respecting shoppers’ privacy throughout.
