Sigma Technical is undertaking the design and development of a unique and highly capable physical conditioning system. Through the use of state-of-the-art electromechanical hardware, control systems and data management the project aims to digitise human performance training.

The system designed by Sigma Technical is designed to optimise physical potential in terrestrial training for both pre or post flight applications as well as providing a complete solution to musculoskeletal maintenance in low or micro gravity environments.

The system is capable of delivering an optimised training programme driven by the user’s capabilities, physicality and goals. Real-time, precise analysis of the users form, fatigue and output are monitored and recorded for further analysis, optimisation, and research including injury prevention, benchmarking and improvements to human tolerance of changes in gravity fields.

Sigma Technical undertakes project design and management as well as the allocation of specialist engineers for hardware and software development. Sigma Technical works with specialist advisors to develop theoretical and practical modelling of the system and analysis of the potential unique benefits the system is capable of delivering for the advancement of human space travel.

Sigma Technical moved to the Exeter Science Park in April 2017 to further strengthen links to local suppliers, business partners and advisors and to improve links to the University of Exeter. These relationships provide significant resources from which to draw upon as the project develops to testing and validation stages.
