We had initial market engagement with Tesco Bank, RBS, PWC, Silicon Valley Bank, Standard Chartered. We are looking to work with banks to help them improve staff development and retention

How will we monetise?

Revenue through a per employee licensing fee.

What progress have we made?

To date we have:
• Outlined our product spec and created the initial prototype
• Carried out extensive market research to validate our idea
• Built a strong advisory team and gained early market traction

We have secured an offer of support from RBS and PwC to work with their internal Leadership Development & HR Team to shape our proposition and have gained innovation support from academics at Edinburgh Napier University.

Who is behind Skillstep?

Skillstep is led by me, Ryan Falconer, founder and product innovator, supported by a team of experts in HR, software, business, innovation and technology. The team includes: Ric Sharp (CTO), Cameron Hunter Bell (commercial adviser)

What is the passion behind Skillstep?

Bill Gates is quoted as saying ‘Leaders will be those who empower others’. Millenials are future leaders. Currently organisations are not meeting development needs. Skillstep empowers individual employees to develop leadership skills using the latest technology. This will lead to increased engagement, increased productivity and increased staff retention.
