SLP Pune 2018/19

The Startup Leadership Program (“SLP”) is a global not-for-profit educational program and professional network for the next generation of founders and entrepreneurs. Created in Boston back in 2006, the program has educated 2,700 fellows in 13 countries, so far we are proud to count over 700 women in our network. Fellows have started over 1,700 companies raising more than $650M from the world’s leading investors and accelerators. This year we anticipate admitting a global cohort of around 500.

SLP is open to all but we are selective looking for leadership, calibre, openness and ability to contribute to our community. We want to put the best class together in each city so fellows benefit from diverse experiences and backgrounds. The class environment and culture of our network are really important as fellows openly share experiences and challenges in an open and supportive environment.

We’ve designed the program to easily fit with the demands of a busy entrepreneurial life. The curriculum runs over six months, usually beginning in September and consists of 16 core modules spanning the entrepreneurial journey from inception to exit. Overall you benefit from 60 hours of peer-led evening classes and a couple of weekend workshops. Class formats include simulations, gaming, cases, lectures, presentations, pitch preparation and a give-back class supporting local social causes.

We are supported by fellows and amazing mentors who have all freely and enthusiastically provided input and support as speakers, judges, panellists and mentors. Many are breakthrough award-winning startups like BrightBytes, Gray Orange Robotics, ixigo, Micello, Mangahigh, MyBnk, Momelan, NatureBox, Novira, Runkeeper, Savored, RxApps, Rock My Run, Shareaholic and Ubsersense.

SLP takes no equity but we have a clear and simple mission. We believe that the very best entrepreneurs are among the world’s great problem solvers and forces for positive change. In return for helping you, we ask that at the end of the program you commit to use your talent, wealth or resources to help those not as fortunate and able to help themselves. SLP fellows can be a positive change.
