Our overall project aim is educational diplomacy and conflict resolution. Our project mission is to increase understanding of education and its importance in conflict resolution. Our project goal is to create a space for dialogue between students and communities, academics and practitioners in non-biased environments. We are based in United Kingdom, but will target countries in Middle East region (MENA) including their neighbor countries such as; UAE, Saudi, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Yemen, Kuwait, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Israel, Palestine Turkey, Cyprus, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt. Our unique selling points is that our venture allows exchange of interdisciplinary knowledge between individuals from the Middle Eastern and British students through support with higher education projects and experiences. We wish to facilitate a space to exchange of expertise in natural and unbiased environment between conflict resolution professionals and those affected by conflict. Our hope is that the exchange of insight and experiences will grow on a variety of levels from community to government. How will we do this? Through 4 parts of the project.
To support students from the Middle East and their higher education application in the UK. Bringing academics and professionals together who work in conflict resolution and education. Informing government policy and helping with an understanding of conflict in the UK students and population. And as a overall project aim; extending part 1 into the rest of British society by fostering relations between representatives of communities in the UK. To facilitate this, we will develop a online educational platform with a mobile-based app where students can search for a higher education course in the UK, whilst through the app we will provide guided internet-based advice to both match their application and keep track of the documents they need, from language courses, reference letters, motivational letters and CV's. The online platform will provide tailored information and be our primary tool to develop exclusively for the MENA region where such application is lacking.
