Social Ventures Accelerator 2018 - 2019
support UCSD students creating social impact through entrepreneurship
The Social Venture Accelerator (SVA) is designed to support all-level of students at UC San Diego who are interested in creating social impact through entrepreneurship. SVA helps them to pursue their dreams of starting innovative, scalable, companies addressing important social issues.
SVA teams participate in workshops where they explore social entrepreneurship and focus on the various aspects of launching a startup. They are supported by a team of mentors and advisors with experience in social entrepreneurship.
SVA has developed from the recognition that students across UCSD show both a passion for addressing social issues and the ability to develop truly creative ideas to tackle these challenges. SVA is a joint project of the Rady School’s Center for Social Innovation and Impact (CSII) and California Institute for Innovation and Development (CIID).
