Through partnerships in the education reform space and strong networks, we will identify a cohort of emerging Latino leaders, offer programming to equip them with tools for transforming organizations and communities for the benefit of Latino children.

Talent Hub for the sector: Our goal is to serve as a hub for talent. We will assist organizations that are committed to diversity by strategically increasing the talent flow of Latinos for key leadership roles. We will do this by constructing a network made up of Latinos who work in education. We will also establish partnerships and alliances to connect existing organizations and schools and further leverage the power of our network.

Latino Board Member representation: We will seek to rectify the current conspicuous scarcity of Latino leaders on boards of education-focused entities in several ways: We will engage key education reform minded non-profit organizations and foundations in the process of identifying and nominating informed and prepared Latinos to join and advance their causes; we will partner with existing programs and fellowships, which focus on Latino board development; we will serve as connectors to candidates through our Leadership Program, and will identify and cultivate Latinos to serve on boards.

Ensure an advocacy agenda is set for the specific needs of the Latino community: We have stated that it is essential that our movement have the support of a mobilized Latino community that will demand equity in education for Latino. We will serve to convene key leaders in Latino communities across the nation, we will help identify advocates as well as concrete action needed to remove barriers for student success. Finally, social media will be a major outreach tool.
