SPLT’s B2B platform adds value to businesses through increased engagement, enhanced culture, mentorship opportunities, team building, and innovation through increase of shared ideas, increased trust, direct corporate social responsibility and the potential to repurpose space through a reduction in a need for parking. Employees will arrive to work in improved moods and therefore be more productive. In certain areas, businesses adopting SPLT will be able to meet the requirements of Commute Trip Reduction laws (currently legislated in five states) as well as receive Business Energy Tax Credits (currently active in seven states in the US). Colleges and other educational enterprises are further incentivized by SPLT’s net-positive environmental impact because this allows them to tap into new avenues of funding from organizations like the American College & University Presidents’ Climate Commitment (ACUPCC). More recently, SPLT has partnered with Lyft to enter into a new vertical providing transportation to underserved markets.
Cities around the world can benefit from SPLT’s service. SPLT helps more people get to work by eliminating the financial barrier of owning a car and minimizing monetary and time costs of public transportation. We specifically chose to move our headquarters from NYC to Detroit to begin solving the transportation problem here in the Motor City. We believe if SPLT can work here, it can work anywhere. The SPLT platform can assist governments and municipalities through reduced traffic and pollution, reduced wear and tear on roads, and enhancements to community building and engagement.
SPLT's trade secrets and UP portfolio focus on the leverages and incentives to increase user participation
As Lead Mentor for SPLT, I have known Anya and her team since they arrived at TechStars in Detroit. I have mentored over 200 startups and their founders in the past 20 years, in NYC, Mich. and Silicon Valley were I spent 11 years as an investment banker focused on technology companies. Over those years, I have never met an entrepreneurial founder, man or woman, with great natural leadership qualities than Anya Babbitt. Somehow she was born with the deep bloodlines and DNA of leadership. Her team follows her to the edge of the earth, and she has the uncanny ability to spot problems long before they become real problems and quietly bring them under control quickly and effectively. Relative to finance, Anya has an intuitive understanding of the sources and uses of funds and has managed SPLT's finances extremely well. Our family is also a seed investor in SPLT and plans to invest in each ensuing round, as we feel SPLT benefits greatly from Anya's superlative management.
