With the solution we are developing at Squirrel Launcher, we are looking to meet these challenges by developing a launching platform based on the electromagnetic gun technology. Thanks to this solution, SMEs and startups will be able to launch their nanosatellites faster and with a more frequent schedule. As for laboratories and universities, the cost of a launch will be reduced, which will allow them to boost their activities linked to the development of nanosatellites. In order to adapt this technology originating from military research, we are in relation with an international laboratory specialized in this field.

Our market research has revealed that this project will boost space exploration as well as the use of nanosatellites in other sectors, such as telecommunications, planetary imagery, big data, etc. These findings were validated by the recent $40 million fundraising by our direct competitor SpinLaunch in the US. We distinguish ourselves from this competitor by the technology we use and by our presence in the EU. We are convinced that it is vital for Europe, its industries and laboratories, to have its own nanosatellite launching platform project to keep its place in today's race for access to space.

We have worked on a first prototype to validate our concept with a partnering higher education institution and we are now seeking to fund a feasibility study with an institute that worked on this technology in the past. Once this phase is complete, we will be able to identify and quantify the R&D structure that we will have to set up and to raise funds to finance the work of our partners who will accompany us in this process.

The final feature of this project is its ambition. This first phase is part of a set of 3 stages: phase 1 will develop a launching platform for nanosatellites; phase 2 will aim at resupplying space stations or bases, such as the International Space Station or the Lunar base; phase 3 will develop launching platforms directly in space to send nanosatellites, devices or resupplies further away. This growth plan will enable our structure to become a key player in space exploration over the next 10 years.
