STARTUP MINDSET is an intensive hands-on weekend workshop covering the messy exploration and hard decisions that entrepreneurs face when getting their ideas off the ground. Experience the process and challenges involved, when going from idea, to business idea.


WHO IS STARTUP MINDSET FOR?
Anyone interested in exploring and creating their own entrepreneurial opportunities. Get answers to the following questions:

Is entrepreneurship is for you? Do you have what it takes to start your own business? Would you enjoy working for a startup? How do you come up with viable business ideas? Can I learn the skills used by successful entrepreneurs?


WHAT STARTUP MINDSET COVERS:

Lean Startup
Make the process of starting a company less risky. Succeed by going quickly from failure to failure, continually iterating on and improving your initial ideas.

Business Model Design
Never write a business plan! Instead use the business model canvas to rapidly prototype, engineer out risks and design a better business.

Customer Development
There is only one boss. The customer. Learn the practical skills of talking to customers in order to collect valuable data that moves your business forward.... fast!

Minimum Viable Product
Design experiments, minimum viable products, which test critical risks or hypotheses of your business in order to search for a repeatable and scalable business model.


PROGRAMME SCHEDULE:

Pre-Weekend: Idea Submission
Using our online platform, successful applicants submit their business ideas before the start of the weekend. Do I need a business idea? Nope. Although highly recommended, submitting business ideas is optional. Attendees then vote for their top 5 business ideas.

Friday Evening: 17:00-19:30

• Form teams around the favourite ideas
• Teams compete to win the Marshmallow Challenge

Saturday: 10:00-17:00
