Startup Refugees is a voluntary network of 500 parties, including companies, government officials, NGOs, universities, congregations, research institutes, communities and individuals who support asylum seekers, refugees and newcomers with starting businesses and entering the Finnish labour market. Everyone is welcome to join the network, as long as they offer something concrete to support our common goal.

With the help of our network members, we map the skills of the newcomers and match them with job, education and other possibilities. Altogether, we have mapped the skills, education and professional goals of over 2300 newcomers through our Match Made system, developed together with software company Futurice, Haaga-Helia coding students and Chilicorn Fund. In the past 2.5 years we have offered over 350 job opportunities, supported over 55 starting companies and have offered over 1700 possibilities to develop new skills....
