StartupYard

StartupYard finds, invests in, and accelerates technology startups, primary from Central Europe, with a focus on the global market. We are a privately funded accelerator, with only one aim: to grow successful worldwide companies from their earliest stages, helping them gain the knowledge, team, and investments they need.

Established in 2011, StartupYard it is the oldest private accelerator in the CEE region. So far StartupYard has invested in and accelerated 8 cohorts of 59 startups. Its aim is to help startups grow and gain further investment, while connecting them with partners and mentors to help them launch on the global stage. 22 alumni have raised further investment, for a total of over 7 million euros, and span the tech market from SaaS, to Big Data, to IoT and Security, Search and Analytics, and AI/Machine Learning.

Our 3 month program prepares startups to grow fast, launch wise, and get funded. The program is in 3 parts, and currently runs twice a year:


PHASE 1
The first month of the StartupYard program puts you face to face with our 100+ mentors, investors, and partners from relevant industries. Their main goal: to set you on the path to growth using their experience, connections, and support.

PHASE 2
Get access to an array of professionally led workshops designed to give you the knowledge and confidence you need to move forward, gain investment, and launch your startup onto the market.

PHASE 3
The Pitch. During the last month of the program, you will hone and test your pitch with investors, mentors, and other teams. You will explore funding options, and prepare for Demo Day, where you will pitch live for an audience of hundreds of industry insiders.

StartupYard startups have received prestigious awards, such as Vodafone's "Idea of the Year (Neuron Soundware), and have attended other accelerators such as TechStars London (TeskaLabs). Yet others have been acquired by major international companies, like DameJidlo (acquired by Delivery Hero in 2015), or Travelatus (acquired by Excursiopedia in 2013). Our startups have also attracted investments from leading tech VCs in central Europe, including Rockaway Capital (invested $2 Million in Gjirafa and 1$ Million in BrandEmbassy), and Credo Ventures (invested in TeskaLabs), and most recently Miton (invested in Rossum in 2017).

Among our group of mentors are such figures as Ondrej Bartos, Partner at Credo Ventures, Ondrej Krajicek, CTO of Y Soft, or Tomas Hruska, Country Manager L'Oreal.
