Stomagienics solves health and quality of life problems for individuals who have undergone ostomy surgery (ostomates). We help healthcare providers deliver higher quality care while reducing risk of disease transmission and infectious outbreak in facilities.

Ostomates wear an adhesive pouching system on their abdomen to capture fecal or urinary waste expelled through their stoma. The standard of care has significant and costly gaps:
- Ostomates are expected to learn and execute self-care with little help or tools.
- The current protocol for pouch replacement is unsanitary and leads to skin health problems.
- The unsanitary procedure leads to environment contamination and risk of disease transmission.
- When ostomates develop peristomal skin complication (PSC) treatment options are limited.

These problems lead to a challenging lifestyle and health problems for ostomates, often leading to readmission, and present unnecessary risk for the caregiver and health system.

These problems lead to a challenging lifestyle and health problems for ostomates, often leading to readmission, and present unnecessary risk for the caregiver and health system.

Stomagienics is focused on stoma hygiene and ostomy care and has developed the Ostomy Care Platform to help ostomates and healthcare providers:
- Manage regular care activities such as pouch replacement and attention to peristomal skin.
- Prevent or mitigate PSC and associated problems such as leaks.
- Facilitate treatment and speed recovery of acute PSC.
- Provide tools for self-care and self-remediation to avoid expensive visits or readmission.
- Control stoma output and reduce contamination and risk of disease transmission.

StomaGenie Capture Cartridge® provides a sanitary means for controlling stoma output during the pouching system replacement process. The cartridge captures effluent, provides the ostomate time to care for their peristomal skin and reduces risk of skin complications. The effluent is contained and sealed with a plug for easy, sanitary disposal.

SecurPress is used during the replacement process to securely seal the new pouching system to the abdomen. Applying even pressure to the adhesive surrounding the stoma improves the seal, reducing the risk of effluent leaks.

The Ostomy Output Diverter is a prosthesis worn in lieu of an adhesive pouching system. Ostomates will wear the device for a variety of purposes:
- During bouts with acute PSC to facilitate treatment and healing.
- Proactively to prevent acute PSC when skin health begins to decline.
- Personal respite from wearing an adhesive pouching system 24x7.
- In long-term care facilities to simplify ostomy care.
