Sweft software is organized into modules based on the workflow required to create digital assets for product launch: assortment planning, sample management, photo studio management, copy management and marketing management. Assortment Management: The easy-to-learn interface pulls data from other systems, reduces data entry and eliminates repetitive steps, making the buyer's job easier. The contents can easily be output to presentations of selected products and shared with senior leadership for assortment review. Sample Management: Easy and efficient system allows users to receive, transfer and track physical samples across the retail organization, with time-saving features that minimize data entry and encourage sound management of these key assets. Photo Studio Management: Sweft's creative tool enables the studio manager to anticipate upcoming work, prioritize the effort and then assign tasks among the team. The entire team can easily see what their workload is and optimize their effort. Copy Management: Content managers and copywriters can manage their work within Sweft, with an overview of the entire workload and an interface for entering formatted copy. Marketing Management: With Sweft, products can be tied to marketing campaigns and the campaign date used to drive prioritization of the digital content creation process. The Marketing Workflow feature keeps the marketing, creative and merchandising teams in sync. Additional key features of the Sweft product are: Workflow management capabilities, to give users clear priorities and advance knowledge of their upcoming tasks, the ability to integrate with retailers' other systems to reduce the need for manual entry and to automate repetitive tasks, flexible APIs that connect Sweft to client systems and enable the client to pull important data from Sweft out to other systems such as BI tools, and syndication abilities that allow clients to export product data to other systems, such as their website, marketplaces, affiliate programs and more.

Sweft follows a formula for successful start-ups that I've seen many times: an experienced team of industry insiders who see a problem (that people outside the industry wouldn't see) and build the solution. The Sweft platform is a commercialized version of software they developed inside the Urban Outfitters/Anthropolgies operation. They know the customer problem inside and out, which means not only that the solution is right, but that they know how to sell it--they already have great industry contacts. I've coached them a few times over the last year and they are ideal clients--smart and eager to improve. They know what they know and are open to learning what they don't know. And they're fun to be with. They're on to something big and I hope that any new mentors, coaches, advisors that join them now push them and help them grow this to be even bigger than they think is possible now.
