Everything has started when the two founders met each other at a mandate in a private bank. We quickly realized that we can bring together our resources and skills:

Younès holds a PhD in computer science from Ecole Polytechnique de Nantes (France) with many years in Complex Events Processing field. For more than decade he worked in the gaming industry, holds multiple patents in high speed low-latency messaging systems (PubSub) and connected together hundred thousands of online gamers. Real-time interactions was and is still one of his main challenges.

Urs has worked for several years as Q.uantitative Analyst and senior IT engineer in financial institutions. He has built several real-time applications for pricing derivatives. Urs holds a master in mathematics from University of Basle, Quantitative Finance from Uni|ETH Zurich and an exective MBA from FHNW.

At T3Teq we plan to bring the two worlds of gaming and finance together because of similar challenges:
a) Large amount of data such as Market Rates,
b) the need for real-time data availability,
c) the "derived data"
d) and an increasing number of consumers.

Our data platform, aka DP3, is being implemented with technologies used in the gaming & telco industries. DP3 brings together external market streams (Reuters, Morningstar, …) and internal rates such as blended FX Rates, Volatility Points and provides these rates within the company.

DP3 offers two interfaces. First is to quickly provide data to the user, be it human or a machine. User will subscribe to one or multiple rates and will be notified on updates (e.g. a rate-change). In case of multiple users subscribed to the same data feed, all of them will get the same data calculated in one place. Second interface is the data API. In its simplest form the API can be used to map external sources (e.g. FIX), or for internal calculation.

Let's assume multiple FX Rates sources and own blending rules in place. DP3 will first publish these external rates. The blending algorithm may subscribe to these rates and use the API to publish the blended rates on DP3. All users can subscribe and consume these blended rates as well.

DP3 is a low-latency real-time messaging software. It helps financial institutions to manage their market data feeds in one place and to provide these rates within the company. Licensing costs for financial data will be reduced and internal Market Data can be distributed within the bank more easily.
