The importance for quality preschool and after-school education support for students has grown, yet the only options the low income families have are local untrained teachers and low quality government-run day care centers. Good education is inaccessible to them due to location issues and exorbitant fees charged at high-end schools which are few in number.

Our enterprise TatvaGyan aims to help address the learning crisis for rural children and simultaneously providing dignified livelihoods for women. We provide high quality holistic early childhood and remedial education support in the underserved areas through a skills-based approach. The affordable programs conducted at our technology enabled ‘ThinkZones’ are supervised by locally trained women micro-entrepreneurs with active community support. To execute our after-school education program we also collaborate with affordable schools. The learning outcomes are monitored through a real-time assessment system and by ‘Supervisors’ to ensure quality program implementation.

TatvaGyan breaks away from the traditional approach of hiring high salaried teachers and instead invests in a quality core team that develops teaching materials, pedagogy and technological setup and then trains & monitors educated local community members to implement programs.

Our model is sustainable, as the hubs generate their own revenues; replicable, through well-defined, people-independent processes & scalable, ensuring execution through capacity building & continuous learning of everyone in the value chain.

With the ever increasing focus on entrepreneurship for economic development in backward areas, TatvaGyan’s women micro-entrepreneurs are becoming role models and change agents to inculcate a spirit of entrepreneurship in the region.

The TatvaGyan teaching methodology is creative, facilitative (not chalk-and-talk), non-threatening and enjoyable, comparable to that offered in the best urban private schools. The curriculum is designed to allow children in multiple age groups, to learn at their own pace and according to their current level of learning. TatvaGyan invests significantly on upfront training. Besides training on curriculum, the training focuses on class room management, self development, entrepreneurship and sales skills.
