TEGnology provide power supply for IoT wireless sensors without batteries or cables. Electricity is generated from the environment by thermoelectric energy harvesting technology. No moving parts are involved, so the sensors can work autonomously for long time without maintenance or callibration (>20 years). The sensors can therefore be installed in the places where it was not possible to reach.
Traditional thermoelectric energy harvesting components are based on rare elements (Te), which lilimted the applications in niche markets. We have developed and patented new materials that only contain abundent and environmentally-friendly elements. This opens up opportunities for mass production of thermoelectric energy harvesting components.
Due to the lack of market awareness, we have launched finished sensor units, integrating energy harvesting component, sensor nodes, power management and wireless communication unit. This enables an easy and quick acceptance of the technology. When the market demands catch up, we might focus solely on manufacture of energy havesting componenents.
