Current capacity makes it difficult for corporations to identify diverse companies that are qualified to do business. Fifth Third Bank and Messer Construction Co. realize this issue and have created a solution to help their businesses execute on their goals to create a fair and level playing field for diverse suppliers. Through a collaborative effort, along with several community partners, they have created a unique event that will give diverse suppliers the opportunity to showcase their capabilities.

The Pitch competition will be a one day, innovative event held on July 26, 2:30pm at Union Hall (1311 Vine Street, Cincinnati, OH 45202). This event will help Fifth Third and Messer attain their supplier diversity strategic goals, which include:
- Increasing supplier diversity spend
- Increasing the number of diverse suppliers competing for the Bank and Messer’s business within challenging categories and;
- To create a process for Greater Cincinnati/Dayton-based small business owners...

Fifth Third Bank winners of The Pitch will be eligible for cash prizes, mentoring, as well as contracts. Messer winners will receive the opportunity to meet with Regional Officers, Senior Project Managers and mentoring. All participants will receive registrations to attend four Fifth Third Bank EmpowerU sessions focusing on tactical financial information that will help their business succeed.
