ThinkTLC™ is a social entrepreneurship company that provides meaningful support and connection between patients/caregivers and their various social networks through the months of illness.

Problem: People are neurologically hard wired for connection. “It’s what gives purpose and meaning to our lives, and without it there is suffering.” (Brene Brown PhD) Long term disease creates social disconnection (emotional suffering) which is associated with poorer outcomes and prognoses (Barbara Anderson, PhD).

Solution: ThinkTLC™ presents a two-sided application that engages and rewards friends, family, co-workers and classmates for their contributions in long-term social support; and provides those in need with a convenient and ongoing stream of digital TLC at their demand.

The platform is scalable, licensable, and replicable for any market vertical. The gamified platform reinforces ongoing “do good” behavior from the social networks and creates a proprietary, behavior based system. We engage people via a series of digital products. These “play with purpose” products engage and reward the social network over long periods of time. All social network activity is tracked in our gamified system and translated into patient support and rewards.

Monetization is via subscriptions from the social networks. Patient/caregivers never pay for anything; they just receive health oriented rewards and digital TLC on their device of choice, on demand.

ThinkTLC was established to provide the monetization arm for the Anti-Cancer Club, a sister company; to capture IP; and to establish a consumer brand that transcends the cancer market. We've already created a user base of over 50,000 patient networks; are launching a tv show via Blab; have an established global social media following; have known customer acquisition costs. This, plus platform licensing to charities (they get a share of the revenue), will create rapid distribution in the cancer vertical.

We are currently building a monetized (alpha) proof of concept and raising $200k. With this money we will be able to build a platform close to commercial standards. This will allow us to do a soft launch with 100,000 people, at $5/month. From this point we may self finance or turn to the Angel market for a series A. We were finalists in the Cultivation Capital incubator competition; have spoken with Keiretsu and Golden Seeds--all have said we just need a POC. So it's in process!
