Trace Orthopedics is commercializing a new medical device for tendon reattachment without surgery. Our solution is a new, minimally invasive procedure by utilizing the interior space of a needle to accommodate a specially designed screw and wire coil implant. We are pioneering soft tissue-to-bone fixation without an incision and using only local anesthetic and conscious sedation. Our device will quickly repair these injuries using imaging guidance through a percutaneous needle, eliminating the need for costly or debilitating surgeries.

With existing surgical codes for reimbursement, orthopedic surgeons would be the main practitioners, and early discussions clearly indicate that many would adopt our technology to both improve outcomes and improve operating room efficiency. In addition, we strongly believe that interventional radiologists will enthusiastically enter this space, applying their capabilities in performing image-guided needle procedures to earn the higher payments associate...

In addition, we strongly believe that interventional radiologists will enthusiastically enter this space, applying their capabilities in performing image-guided needle procedures to earn the higher payments associated with these repairs. By moving the procedure out of the OR, our solution will be less costly, reduce surgical morbidity, and enable faster recovery.
