I first met Jessie and learned of his company, Thrust Interactive, at the PEDS2040 conference. I am confident any team he partners with will have success and that's why I am excited to see where Treks Health takes off. They are doing innovating work and believe they will have major impacts in the digital health space.
With today's advanced technology, there is an increase demand for digital health – a way to innovate standard of care by tuning in to the patient’s personal schedule and lifestyle. By creating an emphasis on digital health and mobile applications to health (mHealth), Treks is providing an opportunity to create personalized health care measures to improve accuracy of real-time data collection and connect physicians with patients in a compassionate and thoughtful manner. As an allergist, I see the utmost importance of digital health when I treat patients with food allergy and asthma at our Center. mHealth tools allow us to connect more with our patients and incorporate treatment plans into their daily life routine. This is so important in the field of Allergy where environmental stimuli can perturb their allergy from one day to the next and we have an opportunity to personalize their treatment regimen.
As the manager of the HealthTech portfolio at the Advanced Technology Development Center @Georgia Tech, I work with about 70 healthcare startups. Jesse and the Treks team is uniquely taking a prescriptive approach to behaviorally addressing the patient and provider needs through a differentiated gamified approach. Today, the patient experience often lacks an interactive, memorable means for patients to understand their care pathway before and after clinical interventions. This leaves patients anxious and clinicians frustrated due to poor clinical adherence. Treks is an innovative way to address this problem by crafting interactive and gamified experiences to care for the patient and improve their healthcare experience.
