UBERDOC connects patients in need of urgent care to nearby specialists for a single transparent price set below commercial insurance, but above Medicare to be compliant.. Patients can use their Health Savings Account or credit card. The system is broken, patients have to take many often times expensive and unnecessary steps to get the care they need. 47% of people go to the internet first for their healthcare 49% seek urgent care in walk-ins , and even more are communicating with physicians via telehealth. But you can't see a specialist quickly without a referral, an expensive ER visit, or knowing someone in the business. UBERDOC allows every person equal access to the best. Our specialists are board certified, in active practice, and willing to put aside a few "house seats" each week for patients who want to skip the line and pay for the initial visit outside insurance, however all subsequent care can be through insurance. The price is Doctors are listed by proximity and availability. Patients simply request an appointment, as soon as the doctor accepts, $50 is debited from the patients HSA and credit card and paid directly to the doctor. Once the visit is complete, another $250 is debited. If the patient doesn't show, or cancel in time, the doctor keeps the $50. For Medicare patients, it is only $50. UBERDOC takes $25 for each transaction, or $50 for every completed appointment. Doctors join for free, so there is no obstacle to participate. Many are frustrated by the bureaucracy of the current system and the lack of timely insurance payments. Even busy specialists have a minimum no show rate of 2-4%. Before we launched, we spoke with surgeons from all specialties, nearly every state, and every practice type. To a person, everyone was willing to join. CMS likes us because we are about transparency and access, employers like us because we don't cost them anything, and we have a simple solution for the vets. UBERDOC is disruptive, our goal is to empower the patient to choose what is best for them, not what is best for the insurance company, the network, or the employer. It's time to give it back to the patients and doctors and make it simple again.
