So we created the UITTO Biocomposite Skateboard. The board is made of a material called Kareline natural fiber composite, which consists of wood fibers and polypropylene.

The strength of the board comes largely from the wood fibre density. The fiber content is actually higher than in the trees themselves. But not only does our boards endure moisture, water and changes of temperature unlike the traditional ones, it’s also environmentally friendly, witch for us is a pretty big deal.

The wood used in the boards is responsibly sourced from nordic areas where tree growth out weights the rate of forestry. They are then processed in a closed cycle with zero waste, as the raw ingredients are fully reusable, and the factory is powered 100% by reusable energy.

The skateboard market size in the US alone is 4,6 billion and the amount of self proclaimed skateboarders is over 10 million. The median age of skateboarders has grown from teenagers to adults. Our brand is aimed at the adult market. We make boards that last time both aesthetically and physically.

Our team consists of an industrial designer and an online business professional so we have both the product and the marketing covered. Our aim is to sell our boards online and thru speciality stores to reach our clientele and create an unique experience that is Uitto Boards.
