UserTalk is a cloud based call center platform that enables SMEs to deliver quality customer service and sales support at a fraction of the cost of existing solutions.

We started by delivering a click-to-call solution for online businesses: delivering features such as live calls, voice messages, call recording and queuing. By iterating with early adopters we realised that:

1- Customers really need a fully fledged voice platform that supports calls coming from any medium (website, app, phone number) not just a click-to-call solution.

2- Most traditional call center offerings were not adequate for SMEs.

3- We are well poised to offer this fully fledged platform because we had already built most of the core functionality as part of our initial click-to-call offering.

We're currently in the process of building out the additional features we need for the full call center solution and using our existing customer base to learn and iterate. What's very interesting about this problem is...

We're currently in the process of building out the additional features we need for the full call center solution and using our existing customer base to learn and iterate. What's very interesting about this problem is that the call center is one of the few remaining business systems that has not yet fully made the migration to the cloud. Reasons for that include:

1- Technologies (like WebRTC) and platforms (like Twilio) that enable seamless telephony over the cloud had not been proven until recently.

2- Most existing call center vendors have not fully adapted the SaaS business model (pay as you go, no long term/lock-in contracts).

3- Call Center enterprise systems have been around for decades. Very few of them have been built for the cloud. Traditional vendors face problems migrating to the cloud and adapting to new trends (like smartphones)

We believe it's an exciting time to build a call center product. The global call center market is projected to be more than 21 billion dollars in 2019. We chose to focus on SMEs because we believe they will benefit the most from this transition to the cloud; they need flexible product offerings, competitively priced, integrated with other cloud tools.
