Velping helps volunteers understand the impact they are having on society by adding elements of gamification and quantifiable self.

We provide motivation to the one sector where it is most needed by allowing non-profits to see and reward the volunteers who do most for them and therefore combat a problem that a recent Stanford University study states costs the non-profit sector in the US $38 billion a year in lost man hours. One third of people who volunteer will only do so once and the reason is that they feel unappreciated and that their work is not noticed.

By providing motivation and recognition through gamification we can expect to increase volunteer participation by 10-20% which would result in an additional $10 billion in man hours for the non-profit sector (and that is just in the US)

We enable the volunteer to turn up on a project, log in as a volunteer at that project with the specific non-profit and view details of exactly how much they giving. This service will be acknowledged by the non-profit who can choose to provide incentives to volunteers when they have achieved certain "levels" of service.

The non-profit will also be able to access real time data about how many volunteers and man hours they use as well as more detailed analytics like the profile of their volunteers ad tips for encouraging them to offer more time.

Individuals can see their individual data, compare their activity on leaderboard with friends and coworkers as well as seeing the level of volunteering in their city or country. Additionally companies can pay to form corporate teams to monitor and reward their CSR activities and even compete with traditional rivals. Companies can also market discounts to volunteers who achieve specific "level" of volunteering providing them with a motivated buyer for their product.

We will provide integration to all the leading Volunteer Management tools and will be "filling in the gaps" that these products currently cant offer.

Finally, we enable non-profits to train their volunteers remotely by building training routes directly into the app which will enable the non-profit to demonstrate that each volunteer has been trained in a specific area before they are allowed onto a project.
