Village Capital Agriculture U.S. 2015 is the premier accelerator for agriculture focused ventures serving the US and emerging markets.

Village Capital will select 12 ventures to participate in the program. The accelerator has a central focus on peer collaboration and training entrepreneurs to think like investors. It accomplishes this through interactive sessions that facilitate peer feedback, rather than seminar style sessions. In addition to receiving feedback from one another, entrepreneurs have extensive opportunities to meet and interact with investors, potential customers, successful serial entrepreneurs in their sector and other sector experts. Beyond the training, the program also features $100,000 in pre-committed investment. Unlike other programs, the entrepreneurs act as the investors and determine through a unique and transparent peer-ranking process which two ventures receive $50,000 each in investment.

Beyond the training, the program also features $100,000 in pre-committed investment. Unlike other programs, the entrepreneurs act as the investors and determine through a unique and transparent peer-ranking process which two ventures receive $50,000 each in investment.

The accelerator consists of 3, four-day, in-person workshops and remote webinars between workshops. The program dates are:
Workshop 1: 10/27-10/30 (Louisville, KY), with a launch event 10/29
Workshop 2: 12/2-12/5 (New Orleans, LA) with a public Stakeholder Forum 12/4
Workshop 3: 1/25-1/28 (Louisville, KY), with our Louisville Venture Forum 1/27
Our New Orleans Venture Forum will happen during New Orleans Entrepreneurship Week, March 11-18, 2016.

While only 2 companies are guaranteed investment,
**96% of more than 450 graduates recommend the program to a peer
**On average, 50% of companies not peer-selected have received funding from an investor they met at a Village Capital workshop.
**60% of participants received investment within 12 months of completing the program
**Alumni have experienced a 4.5x increase in revenue growth and added 3.5 more jobs than a control group of semi-finalists, not selected to participate.
