Virtual Airwaves lets you talk to people near you with a simple push-to-talk app that runs in any web browser, or on mobile devices.

Using WebRTC, and custom servers, we implement a virtual radio experience over the IP network. It feels like two-way radio--a large number of people can be on a particular channel, all talking to each other.

Private channels can be provisioned and shared without a social network. This makes it easy for a temporary ad hoc group to form and be used during an event or meeting.

Our servers are implemented in Python, Erlang, and CUDA/C++, and our clients are in Elm and Swift. We'd love to hear from other people doing Erlang network programming, or doing audio processing with GPUs....
