As a social enterprise, it is crucial for us that our partners have the same beliefs and goals as us.
This is the most important point!
For all organizations and social businesses that offer experiences to travelers, work with a social purpose, and take actions for the environment and the sustainability of local communities, culture, and vulnerable groups, Visit.org has been the platform through which they can expand their actions!
The team of Visit.org works collectively to help organizations have the best online presence for their experiences. They have highly personal contact with the organizations and work a lot to promote them. The generated income from Visit.org was 1/5 of our income from our walking tours for the last year. We look forward to expanding our partnership to generate even more income next year.
This is a dream team and we feel honored and lucky we met them!
And the most important part is that we share the passion for sustainable travel
I invested a year ago in Visit.org due to a very simple logic: Michal Alter will be successful at whatever she does and since she chose to pursue a cause that “makes the world a better place”, she will be super successful.
As part of my due diligence, I shared Visit.org with my “millennial employees” and they LOVED the combination of authentic experiences that help nonprofits earn money.
Over the last year, I had a chance to follow Visit.org on their journey and am extremely impressed by how much the team have been able to achieve. Visit.org is a global company active in more than 50 states with over one hundred Ambassadors, hundreds of organizations and on track to become a force in both the travel and non-profit vertical.
I’ve learned to respect Visit.org’s business and market opportunity and believe they are a "diamond in the rough" - approaching the market from a very unique angle and building a substantial company!
Visit.org is without any doubt the social- enterprise I felt most compelled to work on and support. It addresses a real gap in the market, which no one else has ever tried to fill. Throughout all my travels abroad, I always observed organizations face similar issues when opening their doors to visitors- they rarely receive any compensation for taking the time and resources to share what they do, and struggle setting up the right expectations of what they offer. Visit.org solves these exact problems, And provides an additional source of income for these organizations. I got to be involved with Visit.org in its early stages and its strongest value lies in its founders- Michal and Violaine; two sharp, intelligent and ambitious women, passionate about making this world a better place, devoting days and nights to manage and scale Visit.org; I have no doubt that they will fulfill the full potential of this project and I look forward to seeing how they exceed it in years to come.

Throughout the years, I got to travel to multiple countries around the world, and anywhere I visited I got to interact with local organizations (non-profit/ social). In addition, they had issues with setting up the right expectations of what they will offer when giving these tours. On a personal level, I got to be involved with establishing Visit.org in its early stages. In my opinion, the real value of Visit.org lies in both of its founders- Michal and Violaine; two sharp, intelligent and ambitious women, passionate about making this world a bett
I am so pleased to recommend visit.org. Michal and Violaine are amazing individuals and make a phenomenal team. I am lucky enough to advise visit.org and have been so impressed with how they have grown the organization in such a short period. With over 100 incredible and diverse organizations already brought into their network, I am excited to see what is next. The visit.org team has the experience and perspective to grow the organization in a way that is responsible, effective, and meaningful for communities and travelers. I have seen many organizations approach communities and tourism in an unfortunate manner; visit.org is taking a very different path with passionate and experienced country leaders who will support nonprofits and communities alike to benefit from this collaboration.
I was honored when Michal and Violaine asked me to provide a recommendation for Visit.Org to TechStars. I have worked in the same incubator with them for the last 6 months and of the 80+ people here, they stand out as highly impressive. Michal and Violaine work exceptionally well together. In speaking with them, the complementary nature of their respective skill sets is very apparent, as is their joint work ethic - I have given up trying to stay at work later than them! Their focus is borne out of a genuine passion for solving the problem they have identified, and it shows in the quality of their accomplishments (including growing their team in about 6 months to 9 people, some of whom I have met). They're both sharp and I know will not give up until they have succeeded in creating a platform for mission-driven tourism. They have helped so many other companies here with their efforts, and I know we would all fight to write this letter if given the chance.
