Between all the software projects and volunteering activities I enjoyed most growing the Gesto product and the hackTM hackathon I started to organize 3 years ago.
I get a lot of satisfaction from the fact that a small team can develop a product that reaches traction and solves real customer problems. I love it when an end user cannot imagine how they handled the same problem before starting using our product.
Putting together a great team to produce such a big event with a lot of impact is always a challenge in itself. Software developers and graphic designers are sometimes a special breed and their acknowledgment and satisfaction after a successful hackathon drives me to do it again.
I know Vlad from the Romanian startup community, we’ve met during How to Web where he represented Timisoara Startup Hub. I think his entrepreneurial experience with Gesto and his community development experience come hand in hand, and make him a great professional to work with.
I have worked with Vlad on several community events in Timisoara. He has been very active in promoting entrepreneurship in the local community and he's also a great example for other local founders. He has been successfully developing a stocks and management application in food retail and did a great job growing this business across Romania. His experience and vision about the future of food retail makes him a trustworthy founder in this sector.
