Voy Travel

Voy allows any premium travel business to build a loyalty program, no matter their size. It is a universal travel loyalty program built on the blockchain, which means that consumers data and travel identities are protected and only released with their consent. We have designed a VOY currency that it is easy and secure to accept as a form-of-payment, and yet Voy is also a platform where travel brands can create their own loyalty program quickly and cost effectively.
The decentralised structure of blockchain is enhanced by using a single universal cryptocurrency. Since it has a completely transparent exchange rate, VOY can be accepted and issued by any travel company on the same terms. Unlike traditional loyalty points, no-one gets unfavourable exchange-rates just because they are a smaller company. Better still, because VOY carries a real exchange value, Partners can offer full-priced inventory to VOY redemptions whereas traditional points are generally limited to low price and distressed inventory buckets. Travel brands can accept VOY without the need for blackout periods! Think of VOY as a ‘smart dollar’ – a unit of currency that also allows a customer to share their profile data and travel history. By encouraging customers to pay with VOY and allow access to their data, Travel Partners can streamline the purchase and also tailor the travel experience.
The Voy platform provides an abstraction layer over the blockchain so that neither operators nor customers have to be familiar with ideas such as wallets, private keys or other intimidating technical ideas. The underlying cryptocurrency allows Voy to take a platform approach, enabling developers to build other applications as well as loyalty programs, such as corporate travel management, affiliate programs etc. Customers get to use an opt-in virtual passport containing their travel identity.
Integrating with Voy is made easy for whatever level of technical sophistication a company may have. The primary requirements for interacting with the system are the abilities to send/receive Voy, to negotiate data exchange terms, and to receive and validate Traveler profiles.
The Voy Program Builder is a quick and straightforward way for Travel Partners to set up their own program and configure the rules that govern how they wish to reward their customers with VOY. It’s a simple set of pull-down menus that allow any travel company to define a basic rule-set - e.g. how many VOY a customer gets for booking a room night.
