Wanene TV is an online television platform set to launch in early 2020 that consists of short 10 minute documentaries followed by live weekly social media broadcasts aimed at educating, inspiring, and stimulating engaging conversations within the online community.

The content is themed around showcasing members of society, organisations or groups who are doing amazing things and providing a platform for them to share their stories with the wider online community through interactive live sessions and detailed documentaries.

Every month, we plan to release two short documentaries on various topics and themes that will be backed up by weekly live sessions where different hosts and celebrity guests will discuss on the documentary content.

These documentaries are unique in it that the majority of the content is in first person narrative and is simply the brands or individuals telling their stories organically, with the subject matter being viewable by all ages and audiences.

All the content produced is original from the videography to the music background and is all produced by our in-house team with subtitles in English and Swahili so that we can reach an international or global audience interested in learning about Tanzania and it's stories.

Our weekly live stream sessions utilise a multi-camera broadcast style setup which allows us to air on all major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Youtube) simultaneously through multiple user accounts allowing us to tap into audiences from different market segments and fanbases at the same time.

With our live streaming setup we can also air advertisements, post lower thirds, do live events and productions on the fly from inside the studio or at venues with up to 8 video inputs and 10 audio inputs.

There are two models we aim to utilise in order to generate revenue from this business:

1) Direct: through our platform as it gains traction, companies and organisations can commission us to produce documentaries to advertise CSR work they are doing, directly market products, or generate feedback on services they offer.

2) In-Direct: with our hybrid setup we can fully customise the look and feel of the live stream and provide social media broadcasting systems and solution services for companies looking to market directly to their existing online user base i.e for product launches, events, panels etc.
