At SpaceX, Mr. Elkman developed the EMI/Survivability design, analysis, test methods, vehicle grounding/shielding methods and test facilities for SpaceX and expanded the team from scratch to 20 engineers/technicians and interns. His team, the EMI/Survivability (Space Radiation Effects) team, performs EMI (Electromagnetic Interference), RF susceptibility/compatibility and SEE(Single Event Effects)/ Ionizing radiation design analysis and performs test verification of Dragon/Falcon components from the unit through System level test. In the last 7 years, the EMI/Survivability team design, analysis and test capability has expanded to support the expanding Dragon, Crew and Falcon 9 payload customer base. As part of this process, major projects Bill has managed and implemented (as Principal EMI/Radiation effects engineer), include EMI/RFS (susceptibility) and ionizing dose analyses/test verification for the Dragon COTS and CRS vehicles, and Falcon 9 vehicles.
If there is one startup I think can and will change the course of travel and energy, it is Prime Lightworks. I've known Kyle for the last 8 years. I've been on the edge of my seat waiting for Prime Lightworks to enter the world for the last two.
