Almost all of us buy stuff that we often end up regretting. A big chunk of people’s wardrobes (30-50% based on our surveys) is wasted - stuff never worn, or worn once and never again as the response from people wasn’t great. WithMe is designed as a powerful tool to help address this problem. It is an app that helps people get quick validation on 'what to buy' and 'what to wear', through feedback from friends, communities and experts. The app provides actionable, quick, relevant and credible feedback to help its users take the right decisions on style and fashion choices, thereby giving them the confidence that they are looking their best on every day and occasion.

A typical use case: Say the user is shopping at a mall; she likes an outfit and is looking for a final confirmation to be sure it’s perfect for her. She uses WithMe to take a snap of herself, having tried on the outfit. She can send these images to her social circles (including people not on the app), communities and experts for feedback. She can also indicate how much time she has to make a decision. The folks she’s selected get notifications that lead to the images. They can provide their feedback and engage in a chat with the user to provide more suggestions etc. All this helps the user take a more confident decision. Likewise, say the user liked multiple outfits – she can use the app to select the ones that work best for her.
The app can be used while shopping at stores, shopping online or to select an outfit before you step out of home (‘what do I wear today!”).
The app enables friends to weigh-in on choices being made by others in their circles; this strengthens social bonds and provides an ‘ego boost’ to the person whose views are sought. The app also serves as a forum for fashionistas (fashion bloggers, stylists, designers, boutique owners etc.) to build their credentials by providing ‘expert’ comments, putting out quality content and building a follower base.
The app will understand the user’s preferences over time and showcase relevant content (largely user generated) to help her discover her true style personality. As user engagement builds, the app will emerge as center point of the user’s purchases, with deep insights on the users style preferences, shopping habits and wardrobe. This can be effectively monetised in partnership with fashion brands and experts.
