Witworks launched its pilot product Rewind, a (non-connected) device to solve the problem of earphone cords entanglement in Q4, 2014 through Kickstarter-like video content. The video received 100,000 views leading to sale of nearly 10,000 units (~10% conversion rate) of Rewind within 10 days of its launch. The product has sold over 23,000 units till date with a net revenue of over INR 2,500,000. Continuing with the product pipeline, Witworks launched two new products in April 2015 with similar video-content and received orders worth INR 2,000,000 in under 30 days of its launch at zero marketing budget.

Witworks now aims to hit speed and scale with the new product launches, and get 5 products to the market by end of 2015. At an average price point of INR 1,200 (USD 20) and average lifetime volume of 50,000 for the 5 products, Witworks looks to make a revenue of INR 300,000,000 in FY 2015-16.

The Witworks founding team consists of 3 IIT Kharagpur alumni, with previous work experience in online sales, manufacturing and sourcing at Google, ITC and Tata Steel respectively. Two of the co-founders dropped out of ISB, Hyderabad to start Witworks in March 2014 and establish it as a modern-day consumer product brand. Currently, it has a team of 9 full-time employees (including the co-founders), with background in industrial design, web application development and visual communication.
