Wordnerds is a SaaS startup that uses bleeding edge Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning and Natural Language Processing alongside old-school corpus linguistics techniques to teach computers to read—and understand—language.

Our Software-as-a-Service platform gives brands the ability to automate the understanding of what their customers, staff and stakeholders are saying—at scale and irrespective of the vocabulary they use or how liberally they sprinkle their text with emojis, sarcasm and irony.

We deliver next-generation "True Voice of Customer", social listening and automated text understanding software to global and nationally recognised brands and government organisations who use our linguistics engine to:

2) Spot trends and see what issues people are talking about (surveys CRM etc.)

Our Software-as-a-Service platform gives brands the ability to automate the understanding of what their customers, staff and stakeholders are saying—at scale and irrespective of the vocabulary they use or how liberally they sprinkle their text with emojis, sarcasm and irony.

1) Find specific things in large data sets (people complaining about problems with their service or product on Twitter, identifying leads, finding people who care about an issue etc.)
2) Spot trends and see what issues people are talking about (surveys CRM etc.)
3) To understand how people feel about an issue, product or service, taking large quantities of text and summarising it in real-time. (What learning can be gleaned from thousands of items of feedback? How is sentiment changing over time?)
4) Benchmark themselves against industry-average standards or competitors and plotting trends over time and space

Traditional "Social listening" and business insight software has always been great at understanding the numbers— shares, likes, follows, campaign reach, impressions etc. We like numbers. They’re unequivocal. We know precisely what they mean.

But 80% of actionable data exists in the form of unstructured text. Most organisations have millions of tweets, emails, webchats, online reviews, CRM-entries and survey results written by and about them, vast collections of words that are unpredictable, colloquial, fluid, sarcastic and entirely dependent on context.

Most people's experience of sentiment analysis or topic modelling has not been good. Word clouds suck!

Platforms like Brandwatch, Medallia and Crimson Hexagon are great at visualising quantitative data, but struggle with the nuance of language. And who can blame them: language is complex, right?

Wordnerds' platform doesn't just count the words people use, we've developed an AI model that understands the meaning behind text.

Our platform knows that "Outstanding customer service" is good, but "Outstanding debt" is not. That a "sick granny" requires a doctor but "sick moves" do not!
