In 2009 my best friend and I built a record label around an artist named Sam Adams, whose album debuted #1 on iTunes. This was an opportunity we could have let pass us by, but I believed in his music and the vision of disrupting the music industry with a white rapper from Boston. He is now a pop artist who has written songs for Enrique Iglesias, Ryan Tedder, and Tiesto.
